RUSTIN/LORDE BREAKFAST 2025

Manages registration process which includes capturing attendees’ demographic information by setting up a clear process for registering people to attend the Rustin/ Lorde Breakfast. 

Duties:

• Works closely with the Volunteer and Media coordinators to develop timelines for registering and recruiting volunteers
• Implement a smooth registration check-in process.  

Works with the co-Chairs to develop a program that flows, is thought provoking and engaging, as well as entertaining. It should also be reflective of the organization’s mission statement.

Duties:

• Works with the Co Chairs to develop a program that is progressive, inclusive, entertaining, thought provoking and engaging, reflective of the organization’s mission statement

Duties:

• Works closely with the marketing director and graphic designer to establish marketing materials to assist in branding the movement
• Creating content for publicized events relative to the Breakfast and ensure updated approved messages/content are posted

Duties: 

• Ensures all marketing materials are approved by co-Chairs and posted/publicized to the  various social media platforms and updated as needed. 
• Works closely with Marketing Director.

Duties: 

• Identifies 5-10 organizations to march with the Southern Unity Movement. 
• Work with Marketing Director to develop appropriate signs. 
• Represents SUM at MLK planning meetings.
• Suggests possible speakers for the March. 
• Manages logistics, including communication and confirmation of participation

focuses on the management of supply chains, transportation, inventory, and operations. To ensurs that the logistics system enhances operational efficiency, reduces costs, and adapts to the evolving demands of the event 

Duties:

• Works closely with the Volunteer coordinator and all committees to ensure needs are addressed. 
• Ensures vendor space is set up to their satisfaction. 

Involves creating systems that facilitate effective communication, relationship management, and collaboration between all the vendors. The goal is to ensure efficient supply chains, timely deliveries, and improved cost management by fostering better engagement with vendors.

Duties:

• Recruits 8-15 vendors to participate in the Breakfast as a resources to attendees. 
• Works closely with the logistics chair and ensures signage for the day is developed and strategically placed.

Develops strategies to recruit a broader age range of children and youth attending the event

Duties:

• Assisting in creating appropriate programing for our youth. 
• Ensures proper registration with parental consent, and that each child is signed in when they arrive and signed out when they leave. 
• Creates a “kiddy march” at the Breakfast as a lesson about civil right leaders who are little known.

Duties:

• Works closely with the CEO to establish contact with and invite elected Officials. 
• Request welcome letters, program participation if needed and request donations

Duties:

• Works closely with Volunteer coordinator to identify persons who arrives early and scopes out parking spaces
• Provide parking directions, and prevents car bottlenecks from forming in the deck. 
• Greet/welcome attendees at the door.
